Risk Live – bringing Risk.net to life
Risk Live – a new one-day festival launched by Risk.net – took place at The Brewery, in London, on June 27.
The event, which aimed to ‘bring Risk.net to life’ for its loyal audience of readers, hosted more than 500 leading market participants, including front-office business leaders and CROs from banks, asset managers, pension funds and insurers.
Throughout the day, attendees gathered to learn from revolutionary thinkers and to debate the future of risk, covering a number of key areas that are disrupting the industry, including;
- New ways of working
- Tomorrow’s CRO
- Alpha, beta and data
- The risk-free rates revolution
Working closely with the event sponsors, our brief was to re-imagine the way events are delivered, which led to numerous innovations on the day.
These included a ‘FinTech and AI Zone’, a ‘Hall of Horrors’, the ‘Risk Masters’ and a ‘How To’ zone.
Feedback was unanimously positive from speakers and sponsors alike. Christian Bluhm, group CRO, UBS, who was one of the keynote speakers at the event, said: “Risk Live is a great opportunity to discuss latest developments in the risk world, as well as connecting with colleagues from across the globe.”
Ben Wood, MD, Risk.net said: “We gave ourselves an ambitious target to transform the way our events are perceived in the market. The teams across editorial, events and sales did a phenomenal job, and gave the market an event they can be proud of – our main objective now is how to build on that success for 2020.”
