EHS Legal Specialist

To add to our presence in the UK, Red-on-line is looking to recruit one permanent full-time entry-level lawyer or Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional interested in EHS consulting and regulatory compliance.
The EHS consultant will be based in the UK focusing on the Asian market and provide regulatory support to clients based in China, Taiwan, and Hong-Kong:
The position would entail:
Ensuring our clients are informed of key EHS legislative changes
Updating our legal database on a quarterly basis
Undertaking calls with new clients as part of the onboarding process
Preparing and delivering new client legal registers
Supporting the marketing and sales with technical assistance
Drafting regulatory assistance responses for clients
Monitoring changes to EHS legislation on a daily basis using company-approved regulatory sources.
Identifying changes in EHS legislation and approved Standards that are relevant to our client portfolio
Legal Content Updates
Client Onboarding
Preparing client legal registers for new clients based on the output of the site visit / call and questionnaire
Selecting relevant
EHS legislation that is appropriate to the nature of the client activities
Undertaking quality assurance on new client legal registers prior to delivery
Requirements
Native Chinese is essential
Fluency in English is essential
Comprehensive understanding and application of key EHS legislation in China
Comprehensive understanding and application of key EHS legislation in Taiwan and Hong-Kong is a plus
A third-level qualification / degree in environmental law, environmental science or health and safety management

This role is based at our Houndsditch office in Central London
