Senior Software Developer

The challenge awaiting you 

We are looking for a senior-level software developer / engineer who can take ownership of end-to-end data pipelines and services, from sourcing and ingestion to transformation, storage, and delivery. 

You will play a key role in building and evolving our automotive data platform, enabling internal teams and client-facing applications to efficiently access and leverage structured, high-quality data. 

The tasks awaiting you: 

  1.  Data Sourcing & Ingestion 

    Build reliable pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources (files, APIs, third-party). 

    Handle large and diverse datasets (structured and semi-structured). 

    Ensure data validation and quality at ingestion. 

    Support both batch and near real-time processing. 

     

    2. Data Pipeline & Platform Engineering 

    Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines. 

    Define data models and standard formats. 

    Transform, normalize, and enrich data. 

    Optimize performance, scalability, and storage. 

     

     

    3. Data Modeling & Standardization 

    Define and enforce data standards and consistency rules. 

    Convert raw data into structured, business-ready formats. 

    Work with complex datasets (automotive experience is a plus) 

     

    4. API & Data Services Development 

    Develop REST APIs and microservices for data access. 

    Optimize performance (caching, indexing, query efficiency). 

    Enable data delivery via APIs and integrations.

    5. Data Access, Exploration & Visualization 

    Build or contribute to internal data exploration tools. 

    Enable efficient search, filtering, and analysis of data. 

    Collaborate with product and UX teams to improve usability. 

     

    6. AI & Data Intelligence Enablement 

    Prepare data for AI/ML use cases and integrate such capabilities. 

    Use AI tools for extraction, classification, enrichment, and smart search. 

    Integrate external AI/ML services via APIs. 

    Stay updated on AI trends (LLMs, NLP). 

     

    7. System Architecture & Cloud Infrastructure 

    Contribute to scalable, distributed system design. 

    Work with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), Docker, and optionally Kubernetes. 

    Implement CI/CD pipelines for data and services. 

     

    8. Monitoring, Reliability & Data Quality 

    Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting. 

    Ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability. 

     

    9. Collaboration & Leadership 

    Collaborate with technical and business teams. 

    Translate business needs into technical solutions. 

    Mentor junior team members. 

    Promote continuous improvement and best practices. 

About you: 

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong focus on data-intensive applications. 
  • Core Technical Skills 
  • Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+) 
  • Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, MVC) 
  • Strong experience building RESTful APIs and microservices 
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases

Data Engineering Skills

  • Proven experience with:  
  • Data pipelines (ETL/ELT) 
  • Data ingestion and processing 
  • Large-scale data handling 
  • Experience designing data models and transformations

System & Platform Skills

  • Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures 
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP is a plus) 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices

AI / Data Intelligence

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and data workflows 
  • Experience working with AI/ML services and integrations 
  • Data preparation and structuring for machine learning use cases 
  • Exposure to NLP / LLM use cases
  • Interest in intelligent data processing tools 

Additional Skills 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership 
  • Proactive mindset toward innovation and improvement 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) 

Nice to Have

  • Experience in automotive data or similar complex domains 
  • Knowledge of modern data tools (e.g., streaming, data lakes) 
  • Experience with Python (for data/AI use cases) 
  • Exposure to vector databases or semantic search 
  • UI experience (e.g., modern JS frameworks, JavaFX)
