The role of Account Director will be responsible for growing revenue across our events and marketing services. You are an action-oriented, results-driven, and credible commercial professional with a record of B2B sales, ideally in financial services. You will also bring inspiration, credibility and commercial awareness to the business and can think longer-term, while driving execution tactically and managing the balance between the two. In your role, you will be managing a set of clients to hit and exceed targeted revenue numbers.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of exceeding targets, of delivering creative and valuable solutions to their clients. Previous experience of media sales is important as we are looking for individuals who can accelerate the growth of our brands and customer base.
Directing sales strategy for global accounts including driving, coordinating and executing selling and relationship activities
Building a detailed understanding of our markets and global accounts, including their business strategy, drivers, goals and initiatives and translating these into valuable marketing strategies
Communicating and creating compelling high-quality proposals independently – as well as supporting innovation and developing new products and services
Establishing and maintaining executive relationships with clients to become their trusted marketing solutions advisor in all their primary locations
Sales planning across your accounts to deliver global growth objectives, with responsibility for accurate pipeline management
Proactive, curious, high-energy, results-oriented, reputation for getting things done
Consultative sales experience, with track record of building excellent client relationships, and offering value added solutions and sharing insights
Strong communicator with executive presence and sales acumen (including knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close)
Works collaboratively with others incl. campaign management, marketing and events teams
B2B media experience with robust knowledge of key business models: including lead-generation, data, research, branded content, digital advertising and events (conferences, awards, trade-shows)
Proven ability to understand enterprise-wide issues and to structure innovative, integrated solutions
Industry knowledge in one or more of the following, desirable but not essential: financial markets (derivatives & capital markets, risk management), insurance and financial technology

Salary Range: $70,000-125,000 + Bonus Scheme and other perks and benefits, dependent on experience.

Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other IPD sponsored benefit programs.
