ABOUT US: Infopro Digital is a leading B2B information and marketing services provider with a presence in 18 countries. Through our market-leading brands, we serve six communities – insurance & finance, automotive aftermarket, construction, retail, industrials and the public sector – enabling our clients to make informed business decisions.

ABOUT THE ROLE: This role will lead our London-based production team, which currently focuses on the needs of our own insurance-focused events business and editorial content.

Main responsibilities

The Chief production editor will work across a range of print and online titles, their supplements and associated web content. They may occasionally be required to work on other publications in the division or elsewhere in the company.

Main tasks

General management of the production process for brands – Insurance Post and Insurance Age.

Management of the production editor/s on the two titles.

Subbing of copy from editorial staff, freelancers, industry figures and commercial entities.

Writing headlines, standfirsts, subheads and captions.

Layout of Insurance Age magazine in Adobe InDesign.

Choosing pictures and editing in Adobe Photoshop and curating the in-house picture library.

Graph, logo and vector image creation using Adobe Illustrator.

Liaising with journalists and editors to ensure deadlines are met.

Curation of the online Style Guide for the two magazines

Managing the online running orders, making sure they are kept up-to-date and correct.

Use of CMS to publish stories, videos and images to the web.

Creation of the app version of the magazines using Pugpig.

Infographic design using Infogram for both print and online.

Publishing podcasts through Acast.

Publishing video through JWPlatform.

PDF creation and liaison with printer.

Providing cover for the other titles published by Infopro Digital as and when required.


All applicants must have a valid right to live and work in the UK without sponsorship.

Proven ability in working across multiple platforms and publications

Experienced in managing, nurturing and organising other team members

Highly skilled copy subbing

Accurate proof reading

Writing effective headlines, captions and standfirsts

Some experience of business/insurance magazines and websites handy but not essential

Basic understanding of the principles of SEO

This role is based at our Houndsditch office in Central London
